Dipotassium phosphate, an inorganic water-soluble potassium salt, is created through a reaction of potassium hydroxide with phosphoric acid. Food grade phosphoric acid is derived from phosphate rocks.

Dipotassium phosphate is used in food production as a preservative, flavor enhancer, and as a source of phosphorus and potassium.

It is commonly used in imitation dairy creamers, powder beverage mixes, and mineral supplements. Dipotassium phosphate is also used in other industries, including cosmetics and agriculture fertilizers.

Dunkin’ Donuts’ oatmilk and coconut milk contain dipotassium phosphate.
