Dairy Queen Allergen Menu for Food and Treats

Hamburger, hot dog, chicken sandwich and treats from Dairy Queen.

This is your in-depth guide with detailed information for the allergens in foods and treats offered at Dairy Queen fast food restaurant.

It’s always a good idea to know more about what’s in the food you eat. Our guide makes it easy. For each category listed below, we narrow it down to the DQ menu items with a declared allergen.

Before you order, know whether the burgers, chicken strips or hot fudge sundae contain egg, wheat, milk, or one of the other common allergens.

Common Food Allergens

Federal regulations have identified nine major food allergens: eggs, fish, milk, peanuts, sesame, shellfish, soybeans, tree nuts, and wheat.

Highly refined oil, even if derived from one of the major allergens, is exempted from federal regulation guidelines. Accordingly, highly refined soybean oil is not considered a common allergen.

Keep in mind as you review this list, and other references to allergens in Dairy Queen’s menu, that certain foods are prepared and/or cooked using shared equipment. Fried items, for example, are cooked in common frying oil.

To that end, foods made without a declared food allergen may still come into contact with allergens through cross contamination.

  • IMPORTANT

This guide is for informational purposes only. Restaurants may change recipes or suppliers without notice. Anyone with food allergies or other dietary concerns should check Dairy Queen’s website for the most up-to-date data or additional information. Customers should inform the restaurant of any allergies or other concerns about the food products. We assume no responsibility for individuals with food allergens. Consult your physician for health and dietary concerns.

Dairy Queen Menu Allergen Guide

The following section is an abbreviated Dairy Queen menu. It lists the food items reported to have been made with one or more of the nine major food allergens.

Information in this guide is based on menu items available at locations in the United States. That said, some items may only be available at select locations.

Signature Stackburgers

Many of DQ’s stackburgers are available with one, two, or three beef patties. Note that the declared allergens are the same for the smaller portion and the larger burgers with multiple patties.

Therefore, we list the menu items without differentiating between a Single (one beef patty), Double (two beef patties), or Triple (three beef patties).

The following table includes a list of identified allergens in the ingredients used to make Dairy Queen hamburgers and cheeseburgers.

Although ingredients may vary by food supplier, burgers that are not on the menu above but are served on the same type of bun will contain the listed allergens. For example, the plain top burger buns are made with wheat, gluten, and sesame flour whether it’s served with a cheeseburger, a Loaded A1 Stackburger, or a Flamethrower.

Here are the declared allergen(s) for select ingredients in DQ’s burgers:

  • A Plain Top Hamburger Bun is made with wheat flour, wheat gluten, and sesame flour. It also contains soybean oil.
  • The Sliced Cheese is made with milk and soy lecithin (an additive typically used as an emulsifier). Cheese may also contain cream, depending on the type of cheese (e.g., American, White Cheddar).
  • Mayonnaise is made with egg, egg yolk, and buttermilk. It also contains soybean oil.

A Chicken Strip Basket is served with french fries, Texas toast, and your choice of dipping sauce. Select from Hidden Valley® ranch, country gravy, BBQ, honey mustard, buffalo, zesty queso, or ketchup.

  • IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT GLUTEN

Gluten is in many of the products that Dairy Queen serves. Potential cross contact may occur during preparation, cooking, or service. For consumers with a gluten sensitivity, Dairy Queen recommends trying one of the manufactured novelty products that are sealed in plastic wrappers. Avoid DQ products in paper bags as those are prepared on store premises.
