In 2023, the cost of a frosty key tag was $2. In 2024, the price increased to $3 per tag. That’s still a nominal amount in exchange for a free frosty every day. Note, please that we are not recommending you eat a frosty every day. We’re just sharing the details of this offer from Wendy’s.
1. Purchase a Key Tag
It’s a simple offer really. Purchase a key tag at participating Wendy’s locations – either at the counter or when ordering at the drive-thru. The alternative is to purchase a digital tag using the Wendy’s mobile app or online. With a digital key tag, you will receive a mobile offer within your MyWendy’s account.
2. Place Your Next Order
If you have a physical key tag, then place your order and present the key tag to a Wendy’s crew member. A free Jr. Frosty will be included with the rest of your purchase.
If you have a digital key tag, then place your order in-app or online and apply the Key Tag as a mobile offer. You can also use the digital tag when placing your order in person. Simply add the key tag to your Wendy’s Rewards card and scan the card at the restaurant or drive-thru. A free Jr. Frosty will be included with the rest of your order.

- Key Tags are good for a full year. The tags are available for purchase during November – December and will expire on December 31st of the following year.

The Boo! Books are good until the end of the year when purchased. So if you purchase in September, you will have three months to receive a free Jr. Frosty.
How to Redeem the Boo! Book Coupon for a Free Jr. Frosty
Redeeming the coupon is simple. Take your coupon to your local Wendy’s on or before December 31st of the year when the Boo! Book was purchased. Exchange the coupon for your free treat. No menu purchase is required.
