In May 2025, In-N-Out Burger announced the company will no longer be using artificial dyes in its strawberry shakes and ketchup. Moreover, the company stated it’s in process of transitioning to a new ketchup recipe that includes real sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup.
Allergens in In-N-Out Burger Menu
The United States FDA has identified nine major food allergens: eggs, fish, milk, peanuts, sesame, shellfish, soybeans, tree nuts, and wheat.
Highly refined oil, even if derived from a particular allergen group, is exempted from federal regulation. For example, refined soybean oil is not considered a common allergen.
In-N-Out burgers are made with 100% American beef. No additives, fillers, or preservatives are used in the beef patty.
