What are Food Allergens?
Federal regulations have identified nine major food allergens: eggs, fish, milk, peanuts, sesame, shellfish, soybeans, tree nuts, and wheat.
Federal regulations exempt highly refined oil, even if derived from one of the major food allergen groups. Therefore, highly refined soybean oil is not considered a common allergen.
